Since these are tiff files you need to extract the background in PS by going to SELECTION --> LOAD SELECTION then copy and paste it into your design or new canvas :)

I just finished 1 chapter of my c4d tutorial that will cover material making, rendering settings and making abstract renders in different kinda ways. Will take some time to get it all finished because i will write it as detailed as i can so even people who just start out can follow it
